Then size the paw border down so that they are only two paws wide? I.E. like a two legged cat and not a three legged mongrel? I have a whole bunch of these kittys sewed up myself, and I didn't know how to finish them off. Looking at what you have created has inspired me to go back to the drawing board myself. :-) Had to copy this from Nadine: The biggest troublemaker you'll probably ever have to deal with, looks at you from the mirror every morning.
I agree. The paw prints are great but I think there's too much green. I would also add a smaller border between the quilt and the pawprints.

I believe OP said she didn't like paper piecing.
I'm terrible at pp-ing....but I also just don't like it. Too much flipping and checking etc. So it's not really an option.
I'm kind of considering now, after fussing with these paw prints for a few days, to just not make them. They're just taking too much time and I have to get it done.
I'll keep trying diff. options today and tomorrow but then I have to move on!
But I'm defiinitely going to put at least one narrow border on first. That has been a very good suggestion that several people have had.

I agree with tonnielorree I see too much green as well, and a little stop border will frame it better. But your cats look great. Just adding my two bits since you asked.

That's true too. I might have to leave them "squarish" since I'm not sure I can piece them to be rounder, as someone mentioned. I don't want to do applique and I'm terrible at pp-ing.
I agree that the paws match the cats, looks great to me.

Love the paws, what a great idea! Is it that you would have to make so many to go around the whole quilt? Maybe just a few blocks of paw prints around a couple of corners would work!

I think the paw prints are really cute and a great idea.

I think it would make a difference if you separated the paw blocks from the cats. I would add a border (maybe 2 or 3"), the paw blocks and then finish it off with another border. Separating it would also make the paws appear smaller.

Unless you need the size, I'd do the cat Print and only use one per block.

I thought of making them that large also but was afraid it'd look like a bear walked on the quilt???

You could google paw prints , print them out and have nice real looking paws (maybe)
