This may be way out there, but what I see is a light border, white or beige, with permanent dye ink stamped paw prints meandering around the border.

    I never thought of that.

I like the block just the way it is, but I would use patterned fabrics like you did for the cats. Please post when this is done.

I tried making them smaller because obviously these prints are too large for cats....lol.
But I don't do well with very small pieces so I finally drafted the pattern as small as I can handle.
But I like the idea of making the bottom half of the print rounder.
    I may try that.
    Thanks.
In a quilt, scale doesn't matter! the paw prints are perfect! I would make them all the colors of the cats! I like the green background.
OR, HERE IS ANOTHER IDEA: make the border solid green and then have your longarm quilter quilt a border of cat paw prints around the quilt.

WOW! I love the paw prints and the colors! I also think it needs a narrow border between the main quilt and the paw print border. It is going to be great!

I wish I could send my quilts to a longarm quilter. They're out of my price range right now. But that would have been a clever solution.

I like your idea. But think the border should not be any wider than half the width of the cat block. The kitty paws are a very cute idea.

I think it will look better if you put in a 1 1/2 inch border to separate the quilt from the border. As it is there is nothing to indicate that the paws are the border. Once you put on the border the paw prints may not look so large. I really like the idea of the paws though. Please send pictures when you are done.

I love your quilt. Maybe a little sub-border between the kitties and the paw prints would look good but I love the paw prints just the way they are. Cute, cute, cute!!!!
