That would give you a SIAS effect.
You could do all the QSTs in two colours/fabrics or could go with multi colours/fabrics,
but would take more planning re placement.
Or go back to the simplicity of alternating blocks and your focus squares?

Yes, I know how to google and will get 4,000 hits. I was hoping for some ideas that didn't include spending several hours at the computer only to find a pattern that's very hard or otherwise not that doable
