when I wanted a quilt for a math major, I did one with numbers in the form of the long list of PI. You could use a dollar sign and a long list for a billion dollars or something like that. I got the pattern and found it really easy to use. Gives three sizes of numbers. http://www.craftsy.com/pattern/quilt...pi-quilt/49512

Or do a quilt with block done in words like 1040,tax return, auditing, partner, money, figures, etc. They could be paper pieced, appliqued, wonky free hand, etc. Do it in black and white with touches of green and red.

Note: spoonflower.com will custom print fabric for you and could even have some that would fit your theme.

Wow, I entered a search on their site for "money" and even found ACCOUNTANT fabric. Who would ever know.

Have fun. You dont need a lot of focus fabric but it sure could be fun.

When I think about accounting I think about Economics class and all those bell curve graphs . . . . . . .which could be translated into a nice bergalo style quilt.

How about something looking like a bar graph? http://www.bplans.com/custom_quilt_a...a386de810f.png

You could use a money print fabric like the one from RJR with 1,000 dollar bills on it, cut square and sash between the squares. I speak as a retired accountant, it's all about the money.

Also consider his other interests, does he have a favorite sports team? Does he like fishing? Cars? Motorcycles?

My husband is an accountant, but the quilts he most loves reflect his other interests.

    Just a thought.
