need pattern or suggestions for quilting windmill pattern
I am having a problem deciding on a pattern for a windmill quilt.
Do not want to stitch in the ditch, just dont like doing it, so
could some one of you talented ladies or gentlemen make a
suggestion as how to machine quilt or free motion this quilt?

Is that like the pinwheel pattern? If it is, I like to do a curved petal design that is just inside the triangle shape. When the four curved petals are together it looks like a flower. For STD by machine I like the Bernina stitch that meanders from one side of the ditch to the other. There is no need to be exact but just aim your machine down the middle.

Curls, shaped like question marks. Here's one I did.

Inside each triangle of the pinwheel you can make a design: zigzags, leaves, spirals, of a triangular feather sort of thing. Just have fun with it.
You might want to try drawing it on a pad of children's drawing paper and see where your doodling takes you.
This is probably one of the main reasons i like to go to Barnes & Noble and browse the quilting magazines. More quilting ideas! and of course the discounted coffee, since I use my son's account for the coffee.
