Need pattern suggestions for Toile blue fabric
#2
I'll be following this topic. I also have some blue and white toile, not nearly as much as you, but I'm also at a loss as to what to do with it. I "inherited" mine from my daughter's ex-boyfriend's deceased mother ;-)

My SIL has beautiful little pillows made with toile fabric. I also might use it for a border on a small quilt or a backing. I used brown and white toile on the back of a baby quilt. It looked really good.

YOu know someone on another board asked this question and another lady gave this pattern suggestion: a ( BQ2 ) I do not have a link for it but it really is a nice quilt for a larger print.. may want to check it out. I just typed BQ2 quilt in tool bar... happy hunting with :) :) :)

Okay I am feeling really stupid here, so bear with me, but what is BQ@ and where is this tool bar I am supposed to be putting it into.
I am so embarrassed to ask this question. I would love to see the ideas tho. I am really stumped. Jan

When I made the quilt in the attached link - the original pattern called for a toile fabric where I have used the long colorful scrolls on black. Then you can keep your toile in large pieces. use subdued colors for the stars.

I am in the middle of a top using toile. It's called "forever blue". It uses the toile as the background and then a solid for the stars...2 alternating blocks, 2 colors. LOVE it! Of course, if any of you are totally stumped and not loving your toile, feel free to send it my way toile and paisley seem to be my greatest loves
