yes pillowcases can double as a laundry bag but........ they are much smaller. a pillowcase doesn't hold much laundry. a laundry bag is wider and longer fixing more laundry in them, meaing instead of 4 pillowcases you need only one laundry bag.

what about one of those wrap-around towelly things for a guy for after a shower? those short ones? it could be terry on one side and flannel or fleece on the outside. close with velcro. easy and cheap. he can throw it in his own laundry.

Pillowcases made from sports fabric or whatever they are interested in are great gifts for back to school

Thank you for your ideas. Sorry it has taken me so long to reply back to everyone. The start of a school year can be hectic! Add to that my assistant was out with the flu last week and I am getting ready for a bookfair! and whew! I don't know which end is up anymore.

    I decided to offer her:

Monogrammed Towels or pillowcases (she must buy the sheet sets or towels)
Laundry bag (I've never made one, though, and worry about it being "strong" enough!).

I think she will choose the towels or sheets. All of the ideas were great! easy and quick!

thanks again!!! as we say in the South--ya'll are great!

    Dear all,
she was THRILLED with the monogrammed sheet set idea for her kids and a set of towels for her husband.
Then my guidance secretary found out and will be ordering sets of embroidered handtowels for her elders--to be used at church during their worhsip service. Will need more details for that one. We don't use towels during the worship service I attend. LOL

thank you again for all the wonderful ideas!!!
