My SIL just went in for a routine hysterectomy and they found Ovarian cancer. It was so small that the Dr. said he almost missed it and bioposy on other areas were all benign. Still they are starting chemo this week as a precaution.

I need to get a quilt made for her to take to her treatments quick. Any ideas?

Thank God for her "hersterectomy" as my friend called hers. Ovarian cancer is so hard to diagnose. Prayers going out to her! As to the quilt, I have used fun flannel prints as the top and fleece as the back on a throw. Then I just quilted around the print to finish. Very quick!

Several "easy" patterns make up very quickly and look nice. Yellow Brick Road, D9P, Rail Fence just to name a few. Many people get cold during chemo and a fleece back would really make a difference. We did one for my FIL for dialysis and he loved it. It quilted very nicely. Prayers for your SIL.

The Speedy Baby II can be made in 2 days.

    http://schoolgirlsamplers.com/pdftut...peedyBaby2.pdf

I embroider something in the center square that my recipient is interested in, or a fat quarter with favorite sport/hobby.
It goes faster if you have 5" Charm squares instead of cutting 32 of them 5".

You don't have to guess the border size - the length is listed. It is quick and fun to put together!

I bought the 60" muslin for the back to make it even quicker. Since this is my favorite pattern I buy the King size batting and cut it in 4th's (when it is on sale) and get 4 out of it.

    Best wishes
