Yes, Yes to the suggestions for the modern look of straight lines that are close together. Jacque Gering has a Craftsy class about using a waking foot for jmodern quilting. You might not want to take the class but she might have a website with interesting ideas. Your quilt design is really nice. Please be sure to show us the quilt when you finish it. Great start.
