Need reco for Janome machine needles
Janome users, can you tell me what needles your machine tends to favor (and NOT favor)? I've broken the (relatively) expensive Janome brand faster than others, believe it or not. Klasse and Schmetz have performed equally. I won't use Dritz (too cheap). I'd like recommendations. And I could stick with Klasse or Schmetz and just accept the fact that needles break (user error sometimes, fabric error other times, except for Dritz which seemed like factory error??). The Janome is a regular computerized one (DC 1050).
Anyway, I'm ready to purchase a new set and would like to see if there's a consensus. I also own a Brother and a Kenmore (both mechanical). They aren't as needle-picky.

My 7700 likes Schmetz (some I bought about 15 years ago). In 3 years I haven't broken or bent a single one, and have to force myself to use new ones each project (80/12 for piecing, 90/14 for quilting). I tried Superior titanium and I don't know if they were too short or what, but I couldn't get a stitch to form. I tried rethreading, etc., several times, even different needles (from the same package, though) and it just wouldn't work.

I have or have had Janome 200E, 3160, 7700, and 15000. I use Organ, Janome and Schmetz in that order. I recently purchased a box of 100 needles from Allbrand.com to get a great price. I don't have any needle issues.

I use Organ universal needles for most of my piecing and quilting. I use microtex (either Organ or Schmetz) for piecing batiks, and I have recently started using Superior titanium topstitch needles for quilting. My Janome has never had a problem with any of these.
