    I have made 2 quilts from layers cakes, which have not been prewashed. I was going to back them with snuggle, minky stuff. Should I prewash the cuddle fabric?

    I would prewash it. Just 'cause it's likely to shrink faster than the front fabrics.

    If your talking about the 'minkie' its not going to shrink its not cotton its a synthetic they dont shrink.

    I think the Minkee stuff is polyester so it won't shrink. Pre-washing is still a good idea to get any manufacturing residue out, though.
