My sister wants to make a wall hanging using appliqued circles of brights on a black background. We were wondering if anyone could share any photos of projects you have done like this, or patterns that you know of to give my sister some inspiration. I've seen a quilt like this somewhere but can't seem to find any pictures of it now. I knew this would be the best place to go for help with this. Please post any pictures you may have of brights on a black background. Thank you for any assistance you can give! Happy Quilting!

your attached file is zipped. a lot of people won't open zipped files for security reasons. it might be better to attach a picture.

I have a pattern that has circles with no curved piecing - it is not on a black background but I think it would work - I don't have a pic but you can look it up - the pattern is called "Orbital View" and it is by www.hddesigns.net Check it out - I think you will like it.

Thank you for letting me know. I'll try to fix this. My sister is coming tomorrow so I will take a picture of her fabrics and put it on in the morning. But in the meantime...the fabrics are bright blues, purples, greens, oranges, and pinks.

How about this one? This tutorial is for appliqued drunkard's path blocks. It instructs you to cut the blocks into quarters, then rearrange them. You could rearrange the quarters back into circles of mixed colors.

Here is one I did. I didn't have a pattern. I just put 4" circles on 6" background squares.

Saw this quilt on posted on July 3. Take a look, it looks so easy.
Go to search, type in "Coffee Filter Quilt". It might give U some ideas.
    Good luck.
