My hubby bought me a accuquilt cutter and this is my quilt that I was trying it out with. I have wanted to make a red and white quilt so I had some scraps that I was thinking of just cutting and go. Now that I have this much made what do I do ? Like I said I was just cutting and having fun, now that I see it on the wall my sense of order is going haywire. I like nice and clean color order , part of me just wants to sew what I have up because I really don't have the amount of the same fabric in all colors. I was just playing with scraps.

I envy you first off I would die and go to heaven for an accuquilter! Since this is a scrappy block it is one that I would throw in my test blocks to be used in a scrappy sampler quilt someday. A nice project to relieve the winter blues someday. I was would never know that there was something unintended in this block! Beautiful!

Congratulations on your new toy (and supportive hubby)! My eye is catching on the lighter segments and has to work pretty hard to find those squares, so I would replace them with something closer in value to the other reds if possible. Your layout is lovely.

Agree with joe’s mom. But I would first try turning all the pink “sides” to make a pink “box” in the center . Fill in/change out if that’s easy enough. But all reds of the same value would be ideal.

Lucky you! I love the AQ system and just added a baby one to the mix. Easy to use the small dies and even the skinny long dies fit in it too.

Sew... I would take the odd block out and finish the quilt squares as a table topper. The only change to consider is changing the small center squares so they make a four patch with alternating colors. Two pinks with two reds.

I hope you are having a blast.

PS: I love to take scraps and cut them into usable pieces. Easy to make any size blocks from them.

I flipped a couple of blocks and sewed it up. Wish I had read the table runner suggesting earlier . That would have been ideal. Next time. Lol. Will use it as a couch quilt.

Looks great! I like the mix. Just red and white is nice but very stark. This is "softer."
