Okay everyone...Most of you already know my 7 yr old daughter is in rehab after having suffered a hemorage stroke, well I am spending the day working on a lap quilt for her, because it gets cold sometimes in the hallways and such while sitting in her wheel chair...heee she is sitting in a wheel chair :) Anyways lol...I have the top part almost complete, it is a black white and red broken sugar bowl pattern, with multi color stippes at the ends, and a solid yellow border...Here is my delema...I am just starting to get very good at the free motion quilting, but I am out of patern idea to quilt it with..does anyone have a link or a picture of something I can look at to give me some ideas of how to do the actual quilting on it? I would send a pic..but I am NOT advanced enough to figure out how to hook the camera up and upload pictures...I am barely advanced enough to know how to use this camera..who in the world needs 30 some buttons..what ever happend to point and click??? Thank you!!!

What about paper dolls? The kind where you used to fold up strips of paper into concertina fashion, then cut out simple doll shapes holding hands. If you did these in freezer paper, you could iron the strips onto the quilt, then sew around - all along one side, then back down the other side. By the way, Morgan is still making a good recovery? It was good to hear that she is now in rehab, and getting around in a wheel chair. I hope she will soon be out of it, and getting around on her own two feet!

You could also make it narrower, and just have the arms going downwards to join at the hands. (Might need to make the skirt narrower too.)
