Looks split 50/50. I like the first one. It seems to frame the hankies and really show them off I think a floral competes with the hankies

I find the floral print much more interesting with the hankies than the solid royal blue. Or any solid.... The floral is like the florals on the hankies. It brings continuity.

Both borders are too dark and take away the soft colors of the vintage hankies.......

I agree with Mary O. The colors are way too dark. Why do you have to use only the fabric you have?

Thanks everyone...i did do the blue and white block in corners and had a fabric with butterflies and cut them out to applique in the 4 corners...will try to remember to post when finished...thanks a bunch for opinions

I think the floral goes better with the hankies. I don't think it detracts from them at all.
