Love the green thin border all around. Very nice. Like the floral in the second picture, I think it's in keeping with the embroidery/print on the hankies. However, I think both borders are too dark or bold for the delicate butterflies. They get lost. I think a lighter, delicate print would be lovely. JMHO. Hope to see it when it's pieced.
This is is my thinking as well. The blues aren't coordinating and if she said she likes green, I'd ask her to go with you to audition some and buy it for you.
