I had to attach some extra fabric to panel that had been trimmed wrong. Of course the outside of the panel was a busy print and the new addition looked just like an addition -- or a big mistake. So I covered it with rickrack in a matching bright color. Surprisingly, I really liked it.

If you are quilting it yourself, that might be one way to add to the quilting design.
