I'll be anxiously watching this one as I have the same fabric at home - and, too, bought with nothing special in mind.....

Oh, wow! I agree with "maine ladybug" that I would consider using the stripe for a border. If I had these fabrics, I think I would search for some blues and black (is black the background color in the 2nd fabric from the top?). I can visualize center blocks made from the top 2 fabrics, blues and black. Adding a narrow black border. Then using the 2 stripes from the striped fabric to make it appear it has 2 wider borders. Miter the corners on the striped border. Maybe bind in black? Just some thoughts. These are stunning fabrics. Have fun!

The bottom piece is a stripe. I am wondering about finding a blue that matches the blue in the stripes to use with these pieces? I really have no particular pattern in mind. I've been looking at these for a couple of weeks and decided to go to my favorite people for some ideas. Thanks for your input.
There is a blue that matches that. Where did you buy yours? They should have the blue.

yes, I agee the stripe should be border and I will miter the corners. The background color is a really dark brown with a bit of red hint in it. Would keep the block pretty simple--i.e. half square triangle blocks???

I got it at our local Walmart. I didn't see the blue but I didn't really look, so I will when I go back. That would make a nice backing too.

Dear Friends: I love getting your ideas, and they are helping my somewhat dormant creative juices to get flowing again. Thanks

I see purses and tote bags in that fabric, but that is my favorite craft to make.
