Need your ideas for a small quilt....
This year I decided I don't want to have a full size Christmas tree. We bought a 5' pre-lit tree and will put it on an end table in front of one of our windows. Now I want to make a quilt to go over the table. The table is about 2' x 2 1/2'. So, a square table topper wouldn't cover the table evenly.
Does anyone have pattern suggestions for a pretty Christmas table topper for a rectangular table topper set up?
Thanks,
Stitch124

You just reminded me! I made a table cloth for our rectangle table last year and need to quilt and bind it for this year ! Huh, wonder where it is .... I used small squares (2" x 2" cut) of all of my Christmas scraps... alot of dark red, greens and black. I just sewed them into rows and made a rectangle. I had planned to put a wide black border on both ends and applique holly leaves and berries. Now to find and finish it!!

I just finished an easy rectangular quilt that just might fit your bill. It's Kaye Wood's 6-hour quilt. You could make the rows smaller if you wanted. Once you have it sewn together, you just add a binding and it's done....no quilting required. Good luck on finding what you are looking for.

I found last years unfinished project! So you get the idea. Of course, not everyone likes black in quilts the way I do, but you can choose your own colors from your stash or buy what you like! I still plan
to put some applique in the borders. This is a very simple scrappy design and was fun to put together. Good luck
with your project!
