Love your colors. I too would use a pale gray. It will blend in good. Your daughter will love it whatever color you use to quilt.

Hmm, if you are going to meander I might be tempted to do the purple and green.

I did a split rail last year and did a decorative stitch around each block. It turned out wonderful!

I like the purple thread on the white and green, maybe use a gold thread in the purple.

Verigated thread really adds to it I think, but doing an all over stipple is probably the best, or you can stipple in sections like all the white done in a varigated, and the blue done in another var, thread(say blues from light to dark), and purple strips done in a var, purple. that would be really cute, or you could do a wondering vine. There are a million ways to do it. Just remember to breath and relax and enjoy. Best of luck, have fun.

I did not adjust tension, just whipped this up real quick so I could get it posted!
Maybe a variegated thread, or possibly a compatible shade of grey.
    I'd go with variegated too

OK...I made enough sample sandwiches for another quilt. I tried several of the suggestions on here and could not decide wich one my DD would like.Soooooo....I asked her to choose. She already knew I was working on a quilt, I just did not tell her the pattern or colors. She immediately chose the first sample I posted! Go figger!!! She loves the purple because..and I am quoating her: "It calms down the white!" Well ok then..problem solved..thank you all so much! Today it gets quilted since we are snowed in just like the rest of the country!!
