I think McCall's still sells this pattern, but the samples are in blue and white. Sorry, but not real sure.

Glad you found the pattern. I remember making one of those way back when my daughter was in the navy. She still has it.

It seems odd to see your title: needed OLD from the 70's christmas tree pattern

To me - OLD is before 1900

this project looks like it might be what you are looking for. i really was looking for a tree that was sewn all in one piece but this one might be easier to assemble.

I love those trees. There was a lady at the craft fair selling them....$20 Meant to buy one, but didn't get to it. I'm hoping she's at the one at the mall this weekend. Will definitely buy one. She has some really pretty fabric. She also has stuffed geckos too! lol

Make your own pattern. Draw 1/2 of a christmas tree- whatever size you want. Use the edge line and put it on a fold-- cut 2. Sew them together wrong sides and leave the bottom open. Make at least 2 of these-- if the tree is large you can make 3. Turn them right sides out and press. Layer them all together and sew a seam down the middle so you have "leaflets" . Stuff them individually, sew up the bottom and sew ribbons or ornaments on the "branches. I did that year s ago-- very quick and easy. You can use just one fabric or several. Have fun.
