There are a lot of us "needle turn appliquers" out there. I'm one of them. I love it. So many patterns and so little time. Won't be long til the holidays will be upon us again. Just saying................ LOL

I just started and I love it. Have a loooooooooooooooong way to go to get it looking professional. Love that you can take it with you to work on and it is relaxing. Well, it will be relaxing when I get the hang of those corners.

I LOVE needle turn applique and hand quilting. I just had jury duty [all day] and took my project...got alot done. I find it so relaxing. I really like free motion quilting ...because it's like drawing. I am fairly new to applique and improve with every project ....but still find points challenging!

I am working on a applique quilt now. I am doing it on the machine for the first time. I am happier doing it by hand. I think you have more control over the fabric. I don't think I will do it on the machine again unless I am doing it with some type of zig zag stitch that will enclose the edges.

I'm thinking about trying it. I just stumbled across a book called Tile Quilt Revival on Amazon, and I'm wowed by how the quilts look like stained glass mosaics. I am just finishing my first quilt, and the part of the process that I enjoyed the most was hand quilting, so I think I would enjoy the slow, steady work of needle turn applique. And the results, from what I've seen, can be pretty spectacular.
