Hello - today was an absolutely beautiful day, perfect October weather, and my cousin and I drove down the Jersey shore to attend what was described as "A Needleworker's Flea Market". It was amazing!!! Imagine the best flea market you've ever been to, and everything is for you. Unbelievable prices on books, fabrics, half-completed fabrics, f/q's for as little as 25 cents, and a few vendors specializing in embroidery supplies, wool, and other non-quilting items. I came home with piles of stuff, about a dozen books, a 4-yard piece of one of my favorite Christmas fabrics for $2, and on and on. I'm so tired I can't even think of putting it all away until tomorrow.
The vendors were various guilds and individuals who just had too much stuff. Despite cramming fabric into every available space, I'm an amateur compared to some of these ladies.
When we finally left with all our treasures we finished off a wonderful day on the boardwalk :D :D :P :P where we could get our traditional quilt event lunch, a chili cheese dog. We enjoyed lunch and a frozen custard and watched the ocean, two tired but happy ladies.
No digital camera so I can't post pictures but trust me, I got good stuff!
