    Seems to me that this would help to time stamp when she created this to prove the date. Sort of like mailing something to yourself. The date stamped on the post can't be altered. Not that I know exactly how the legal system would work, just seems logical to me.

    The idea that mailing something to yourself is copyright protection is false. It does not stand up in court. A posting time/date on a message board certainly won't either. The only way to legally defend against copyright infringement is to register the work with the copyright office before the infringement takes place. It does no good to register after someone steals your idea and/or registers it as their own.

    It looks like an interesting block. A secondary design appears when the blocks are sewn together.
    Can't wait to see the finished quilt.

    Definately write up the pattern, date it , name it and copywrite it. Publish for sure - I think it will sell.
