A new block I think I designed.

I couldn't "see" it in the first pencil drawing. Then I scrolled down and loved it in the shaded drawing. It's such a great block!
It immediately reminded me of the encaustic tile floors that were laid in the houses around her in the 1920's and 30's. Not the pattern itself but the general look. And that the corners, when joined, make the real pattern.
Beautiful! I would buy this pattern.

I appreciate all of you being concerned about me having a copywrite and etc. I am so happy to hear that it seems original tho, I love being creative that way.
I am especially thrilled that you all like the pattern. Thank you for so many kind words.

I'm excited to finally get the first run up on the wall. I'm thinking it's a little too peachy and perhaps I should reconsider using the peach stripe everywhere as background. I could use a tone on tone white or change it in each block based on what color the focal square is. Then I would only use the white or other neutral in all the teal sections. Any thoughts to share out there? In the second photo, I cut some white scraps and stuck over the peach stripe just to see a little idea of what that would look like. LOL

I like the first one and I don't think it will look too peachy when you put the blocks together with the teal secondary pattern coming into play. I am anxious to see more. I like the colors as well as the pattern.
