Default New Brunswick & Prince Edward Island

Hi, We are planning a trip this summer to New Brunswick and Prince Edward's Island. Do you have any suggestion about places related to quilting not to miss? We're leaving Sherbrooke, PQ, passing through USA, entering St Andrews NB, staying in NB 3-4 days, and then PEI for about a week.

I had asked about Amqui Quebec and got lots of answers. Here's my previous thread http://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1...a-t259871.html

A beautiful book published in 2010, Quilts of Prince Edward Island; The Fabric of Rural Life by Sherrie Davidson, gives the history of quilting on the Island. It would be great background for your visit, if you have time to find a copy.

I was there some years ago and was disappointed in Prince Edward Island. Potato fields everywhere. Now, Nova Scotia, that is different. I loved Halifax, the wool shop there, and I liked New Brunswick. We took the ferry across
the Bay of Fundy and it was lovely weather.

PEI is very small, ragamuffin is right. Nova Scotia is not to be missed . So many things to see and do. Halifax is a beautiful city. Enjoy your trip whatever you plan

We had a lovely visit to PEI the summer after my mom died (2002). Yes, there were potato fields everywhere, but they were in bloom and it was fun to ride over the rolling roads to see different things. We stayed up toward the northwest corner, near the Anne of Green Gables area and enjoyed the beaches and lobster suppers and just the quiet beauty of the island. We tend to like the more natural areas instead of the touristy places. The people were so nice and it was just what I needed after my loss. We did find one fabric place, but I don;t remember where or the name, sorry. Hope you have a lovely time!
