    Default New color for fall

Been looking at several fabric ads that arrived in my e-mail this morning. It seems as if the new color for fall is going to be cooper. I'm so amazed at how many differnt other colors it looks magnificent with.....blacks, grays, reds, blues, greens. I can picture it as a background color for quilts. I'm probably going to jump on the bandwagon and order some, just have to figure out which one I liked the most.
Oh....as I sit here this morning, my copper kitty is on my lap. They used to be called "ginger" cats. Nice to know he's in style!!

Copper, hmm, it does sound like an interesting color that I will have to check out. Thank you for starting my day off with a chuckle! From a "ginger" kitty to a "copper" kitty! Cute!

I am not likely to buy copper fabric as I am trying to use up my stash.

    Is copper different from cheddar?

This is scary - I have been collecting fabric (and quilting) long enough that I have a number of pieces of copper in my stash. I even have several items I made in fall colors with copper. I think I can shop my stash and come up with enough copper to make some "modern" pieces. I guess being old has advantages!!

Saw a quilt recently with copper and teal. I love that combination. You're right, copper goes with so many colors.

ibex94...copper has a touch of brown in it, whereas cheddar is more orange.

I remember many years ago when "the powers that be" decided the colors for the season were rust, olive green, mustard, and deep purple. I hate the first three. You would walk into a store and see just those colors. One more reason why I like shopping at secondhand stores.

Also reminds me of "new lipstick colors for spring!" that you see in women's magazines. Yeah, pretty sure we have gone through every variety of pink, red, orange and purple already, in the last 100 years!
