What a super idea!! Might just have to steal/borrow that, I am now making quilts with nobody in mind, that would be such fun!

That was a wonderful idea. My mom has some beautiful quilts and tops folded neatly inside a trunk, but no one can have them or enjoy them until she is through keeping them folded neatly in the trunk.

I did this with my oil paintings, and it was hard to part with some of them, but the joy in their eyes to have something I made was worth all of the effort.

Your DD chose wisely, very very nice!

How inpsiring! I believe you have resolved my gift idea dilemma for next Christmas. I love that idea and I found it most interesting that your children picked items different then the ones you thought they would - but they will think of you each and every time they pass that item in their own homes. Thanks for sharing.

I like your idea, too. Only recently, have I shared some of my quilted creations and the response has been wonderful. I like how your new tradition works and it might be something for my own family to start.

Your daughter made a good choice. I like both pieces.
