Default new here, question about a sewing machine

Hi, I am new and I saw a post a while back about the Brother SQ9050 that is sold at Walmart stores. I am thinking about getting one and I was wondering if anyone can tell me about theirs if they have one also. I am really wanting to start trying to machine quilt, like stipple and free motion, but we can't afford a more expensive machine, and this one comes with the feet that you would need to do those things. Any insite would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    SharonStitcher

That is what I have now I don't sew as much as most of the people on here but I have had over a year and the only trouble I had with it is when I used the wrong bobbins otherwise I really like it. I have stippled with it and a little bit of free motion quilting

I love mine for piecing, haven't tried to FMQ with it, but it is a solid machine, have had mine for 5 months and used it quite a bit, even sewed some minky with no problems. I haven't had any problems with it.

I have had mine for about 5 months now and have not had any problems. They will never be the solid $1000 machine but, I can't afford those. But, no complaints from me about the SQ 9050. I have used several of the decorative stitches and the font stitch and it did a really good job. Easy to use, instruction book easy to read and follow. I have used it for FMQ and it does do a pretty good job. Wish it had a bigger throat. But, most of my quilts are baby or lap quilts, so they are adequte for me. I say it would be a good place to start.

Thank ya'll so much for your replies, it sounds like it will be a good choice until maybe one day, I can afford a fancier machine. They sure are pricey! lol Thanks again
