I went to a trunk show at my local Joann's store yesterday given by the Husqvarna/Viking dealer located in the store. She demonstrated the new walking foot (dual feed) with interchangeable feet. It has a 1/4" piecing foot, optional, and included is a straight stitch foot with just the little hole in the middle to prevent the fabric from being pulled into the throatplate. There are 3 optional feet which I ordered. This foot will work on all the machines from the Orchid on up. I can't wait to try it out. One of the optional feet is the edgestitching feet so you can sew close to binding, etc. If you have a dual feed foot you know how hard it is to get close to an edge and keep it there. I will let you all know how it goes once I have tried it out. She also demonstrated the new Ruby, a more affordable version of the Diamond. How awesome!!

Yeah, check your dealer for some of the new designs and new feet. I understand they have come out with a new serger that is much easier to use than my 936. That may be my Christmas present to myself.

They are trying to replicate the Pfaff IDT. I haven't heard how it is working yet.

Lucky you! Let us know how you like the new interchangable plates; I don't have all of them but I do love the walking foot!
