Thanks everyone. Picked it up today. Have moved it out of the box and set up on sewing table. Confirmed that all parts came with it. Happy that I got the grey face panel versus the light blue one. I know that's anal retentive, but I don't like the special edition light blue one. Will be getting a thorough work out shortly as I start to make a One Block Wonder quilt.

Congratulations on your new machine. I'm sure you will enjoy it. Happy quilting. Love what you did to make your choice.

My Janome is a real workhorse. I have had several Janome machines and they have been great.

There was also the spreadsheet which detailed the 6 machines I was originally interested in. It took me 3 1/2 hours to compile the spreadsheet from the brochures I got from the dealers and then looking further on line when I was missing some information.

Excellent choice! free motion is absolutely the most stressful thing you can put a machine through. Free motion shows you how well your machine will handle tension in many situations and baby nobody handles it better than Janome. I have an 8900 and a S7 and absolutely love them. congratulations!
