Oh you are so lucky. I hope this is the beginning of a long and wonderful quilting relationship.

Yes, I do to. She seems to be pretty laid back. Just in the little while we spent together, she told me a story about a couple of her quilts. One quilt was made with fabric from Guatemala. She said on the bus trip, people were buying pieces of fabric for her and she made a quilt with it. The next project she is planning on is a french braid. I'm glad I walked over yesterday to see what she was working on.

Just had to send a quick note when I saw your signature. I'm a sewer/quilter and my mother is a tole painter. We just completed the enclosure of a 3 car carport into our 'great room' for painting and sewing. Nice to hear you have both talents!

Have you thought about having her join our group? It is always great to have experienced quilters. Great find for you.

How fun! I have a friend and several acquaintances who quilt. For a beginner it is very encouraging. Hope it works out for both of you.
