New questions - using salmon colored minky

Your ties can be as far apart as you want with the minky. You're not trying to keep a batting from shifting. I recently made baby quilts with flannel on one side and chenille on the other. My ties were 13" apart.
Our prayer quilts at church do have a poly batting and we usually put the ties about 6" apart, though one yesterday was 7 1/2. It will be fine.
