Default New use for batting tape

While I was ripping out a seam, I accidentally cut my fabric. Not a big cut, but enough to make me nuts. So, I took a small piece of batting tape and ironed it on the wrong side of the fabric, butting up the raw edges, and voila!! You can't see the cut on the right side. The tape is so thin, it doesn't affect anything. It's great!! Thought some of you might be interested in this, in case you accidentally cut fabric.

I have used scraps of interfacing for that same problem. Isn't it great when you have something on hand to solve a problem?

Thanks for the tip. I hope it never happens but I'm now prepared with a solution if it does.

I love the fusible tape. I use it to stabilize bias fabric edges too.

I too have used fusible interfacing for many little fixes with quilting. Just make sure it is on good otherwise you fabric will shred with time.

Thank you! I was ripping out some quilting yesterday and made a small hole in the backing. Now I know how to fix it.

will this cut area be washed later? that tape isn't permanent. they do have permanent tape for things like that though.
