Ok, Finally done!! Redid the upper and lower corners as the way I had them set, the single strip was on the edge and I didn't like the way it looked. I substituted it for a set of 3 that I had left over and it turned out ok. I think I will use this to practice my free motion quilting on my frames, as this is something that I don't think I will ever use. Who knows, I may give it to a grandkid and they will love the heck out of it LOL

Enjoyed making it and now to clean up the mess and finish the ugly baby quilt... The link shows the picture, but read the whole thread to find out why I made it.

I really appreciate your talent for creative thinking for the camo quilt. Love the way it turned out. Jinnie

I am almost done..just have to add the borders. I want to finish tonight so it's not sitting around forever. Then I want to practice my long arming skills on it. Starting to really like it now and I have always had trouble matching seams and I got a lot of practice with this one...although I cheated a little and used a washable glue stick to match seams, but it came out perfect.

Someone mentioned issues with the cornerstones...anyone have some advice before I start?

still plodding along here......the children picked me up and took me to Universal for shopping and dinner right in the middle of sewing.....but it was the first time going to the Hard RockCafe and seeing all the memorabilia thru the eyes of teenagers.....there is a car on the ceiling - a '57 caddy - and when i told my DGS that the car was new the year I graduated high school (he is 11th grade) he said "gosh, grandma you are OLD" LOL, news to me !!!! I worked all day today on piecing and hope to have finished and picture soon.

Here are the strips and some of the blocks laid out. I still have to sew them together and add the borders. Still way behind but working to catch up.
