    It'll be fine. That measurement is about average, and they usually only count on 40" useable width anyway.

    I'd use yardage from my stash if I had enough to have the variety that a jelly roll provides. The quilt the class is doing might depend on having 20 or more different fabrics.

    Are you talking about just cutting up one piece of fabric or many different pieces?

    Use what you have. Width, and consistency, is most important. It might mean you need an extra strip or two but much better than buying all new...unless you planned to use this as the excuse to buy more. :lol:
