Just to let you all know I used 3 1/2" squares but you can change them smaller or larger

I got three simple 9 patches done out of 2 inch squares. Guess I'm behind already. Going to make a pastel quilt I think.

I have finished thirteen 3" blocks. BUT, I did them this morning so I am a slacker! Now I am ahead. :D I am piecing the first topper now and may have a picture this evening. I am not promising anything though. I have figured out the new machine. Only one broken needle in the process. First lesson learned do not turn off the machine and then turn it on without checking the settings. :| I will be really careful with the camera, who knows what I can break there.

I sewed pairs and then pinned the third piece on all of my rows. After I add the third piece I will only have to grab 3 rows to sew together everyday. I have 6 done right now. I love that I used up so many scraps.

I finished 24 patches from 2-1/2" squares today and am working on some 1-1/2" squares, so I am in good shape for awhile. I have to confess I am going to have some help with whatever this is going to be. My friend who has MS wants to make a quilt for her grandson but has no use of her legs. I took down one of my machines that she can sew with using the start/stop button. I thought it would be good for her to practice sewing with it before she tries working on the blocks for the quilt she wants to make, so I took down a bunch of 3-1/2" squares so she can make some 9 patches with them for me and get in some practice on the machine. She's have some fun getting to do something that she normally would be able to do. Isn't technology wonderful?
