Thank you Swan Sonng, this is such fun. Have fun with your Bow Tuck too, they are a really nice bag to make. I am making four for prizes for my sister-in-law's cat show in August.

You are welcome :D I cut all the pieces for the Bow Tuck and then promptly slammed a finger in the door. That was my early Thursday. Then I worked 2 nights and slept Saturday away so now it's back to business! ;)

So what's more fun--making the blocks or seeing what "Nifty Nines" everyone is coming up with? To me it's a a toss up!

I got going on this and just could not stop.... a couple each morning, a few more and night and viola... enough to make a quilt!
I have a problem with UFOs (I can't have them) so I had to put them together. There are 50 total 9P in this.

    Dragonflynana, your quilt is beautiful.

Everyone is doing such a great job on the 9 patches. I have to get the camera out. I have a few done, but not near enough for a quilt.

Thanks JudyG. I have had the fabric for a while and was looking for the "right" pattern and this challenge just seemed to be it.

Here's the deal, you make 1 nine patch block any size each day using fabrics from your stash....

I thought we could start ours June 15th and run thru August 15th so no one has to catch up. You can do them anyway you want 1 a day, the week's worth in a day, whatever you want, it's a no pressure thing the goal is to have 1 for each calendar day.

Ok, so who wants to play?
I'm in. I've been sewing 9patch blocks from stash and from a FQ packet of Kaffe Fassett fabrics that were gifted to me. I have 22 finished so far.

I got bored the other day, so I bought the stripes for the alternate blocks and started sewing some snowball blocks to go with the 9patch blocks. And then I sewed them into rows.

I decided to switch them up on every row-- one row they are horizontal stripes and one row vertical. The idea was to make the 9patches look like they are exploding. BAM! Happy 4th of July. It's not red white and blue but it's still fireworks.

I don't know how I missed this thread. I'm on here all the time! Is it too late to join???
I would love to have a project that I'm "required" to do a bit on every day :D
