I am kicking myself. Found a 1951 Featherweight on Craigslist earlier. It had only been posted for 2 hrs, and during that time I was surfing the net. Finally decided to check Craigslist, and there she was! Asking price was $40.00, my heart did a lurch. I sent an e-mail to the seller. Someone was coming to look at it, and of course they took it. So apparently she wasn't meant to be mine, the search continues.........

Don't kick yourself too hard, the price tells me there were probably huge issues with it and even though you can get a machine fixed, sometimes it's just not worth it. So there's something better out there for you, just be patient.
