If you really don't want to go back and add quilting in that area, then don't. After the quilt is washed a couple of times that area won't even be noticeable. Only you will know (and us, of course)!

I am the opposite. If this was my quilt every time I looked at it my eye would be drawn to the unquilted area and would drive me nuts. I wouldn't be able to enjoy the quilt because that unquilted blob would basically be screaming at me "look at me, look at me I'm a double D crammed into a C!" LOL. I'd have to go back in and quilt it some so it wouldn't attract my attention like a moth to a zapper light. I'd even resort to *HORRORS* hand quilting the spot down if I didn't want to go to the trouble of cramming it in my machine.
I think it's great that you don't feel compelled to do that. I wish I wasn't so persnikity about my work sometimes.
