Most of us would have to search for a long time to find the unquilted area. I'd go with the story!

If you really don't want to go back and add quilting in that area, then don't. After the quilt is washed a couple of times that area won't even be noticeable. Only you will know (and us, of course)!

I would imagine that only a close examination by a quilter would even notice. That is a beautiful quilt by the way. I am saving up stories to use for my own boo boos.

I am the opposite. If this was my quilt every time I looked at it my eye would be drawn to the unquilted area and would drive me nuts. I wouldn't be able to enjoy the quilt because that unquilted blob would basically be screaming at me "look at me, look at me I'm a double D crammed into a C!" LOL. I'd have to go back in and quilt it some so it wouldn't attract my attention like a moth to a zapper light. I'd even resort to *HORRORS* hand quilting the spot down if I didn't want to go to the trouble of cramming it in my machine.

I think it's great that you don't feel compelled to do that. I wish I wasn't so persnikity about my work sometimes.
