My problem too! And you know what I did yesterday? I started another quilt top that is NOT from any of the printed patterns I have put in binders! Just can't resist printing out something new that I want to make!

I'm in that boat of printing out reams and reams of patterns. I'm trying to only print the picture of the quilt and file those for future projects.

Just recently, I cleaned out my magazine stash and dumped ALL my Quilter's Newsletters from the 80's on..just kept this last year's group. It physically hurt me to do it but lord, it was wonderful to have the space in my sewing room and to be done with the guilt that said I SHOULD be re-reading these and pulling them apart for saves. They all went to a novice sewer who may become a quilter...lovely.

I think if I work on them both at the same time that I can accomplish this goal.
Me too! Overwhelming is the word that fits my sewing room right now. I've been in the process of sorting through all of my fabrics and I'm feeling overwhelmed (and a bit of a hoarder!!). I'm going to try to sew from my stash of fabrics and stick to my patterns that I've accumulated over the years. At least through 2014. I know it feels great to make something totally from what I have on hand. I'll join this pledge and see how it goes!

OMG I thought I was the only one who did this. Good to know I'm not alone!

I save patterns and pdf files in their own files on the hard drive. I save photos of those beautiful quilts on Pinterest: linked back to the original pattern, of course.

Don't forget to back up your files onto a stand alone hard drive. Or save in The Cloud. There's nothing worse than having years of treasures vanish because they were backed up on floppy disks. Remember those?

I can't even guess how many computers ago that happened after a crash. Technology advances and we need to stay on top of it.

To paraphrase: Once crashed, twice shy!

My upstairs has been taken over by my quilting stash and quilting tools and quilt magazines and bought quilt patterns: there's no room for more paper!

i saved a lot to my pdf. I only printed the ones I need and have some wpos. I keep them in shirt boxes since they're cheap with the material and fabric needed.
