So sorry to hear this. While you're "not quilting", Have a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year, and maybe you can surf the web and get lots of quilting ideas. Hope you heal fast and are back into the swing of quilting soon.

Prayers for a speedy recovery. So what you are saying is that you won't be cutting or pressing or stitching for the next few weeks. But you can always SHOP.

Oh, bummer! I guess you'll have a lot of time to design and plan your next few quilts.

Take this down time to take stock, re-organize (with a little help from an able body) and plan your next few projects. Enjoy your reading and have a blessed holiday

I am so sorry this has happened to you so close to Christmas. I fell and broke my ankle in July three weeks after opening my long arm shop. I understand your frustration! So much to do and can't do anything. My suggestion would be to try to enjoy the holiday season and let everyone wait on you! This is a short blip in the over all picture and soon you will be back to going full steam ahead! Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas and Prosperous New Year!

Been there, done that so I know exactly how you feel. I was in the process of hand finishing a binding on a quilt for a quilt show when I turned around and fell over the head of a bearskin rug and broke the shoulder, dominant one of course. Oh well, got lots of reading done. My sympathies!!

May you heal quickly, and with no problems. It is good that you like to read. Nothing like a really good book. Well, quilting excepted.

oh well, guess I will get some reading done. Have a Merry Christmas everyone.
Sorry to hear about your shoulder. But time will fly by. Enjoy the rest and take time to explore new avenues -- browse through magazines for interesting future projects, take short shopping trips to the LQSs in you area, read "quilty" books.
Before you know it you'll be getting back. I pray for your healing.

I've recently purchased a book THE MEMORY QUILT, A CHRISTMAS STORY FOR OUR TIMES, by T. D. Jakes. I'm enjoying it very much. I think today I will take some time off from projects (mostly baking) to really get into the book. I found this book on the Walmart bookshelf.
