So sorry to hear about your mishap. There are lots of good books out there so go and read yourself some! Hope your shoulder is not too painful. Have a merry Christmas and a happy new year.

I understand your pain, as I kicked my cast iron Singer stand and broke a toe.Nothing that can be done either. Guess i need to wear shoes in my sewing room, huh?

Oh, I am so sorry but now you can read some of those Mystery Quilting books that I have been wanting to read but haven't had time because I have been quilting. Use this time to find some projects to work on later and read all sorts of the latest books. Just don't overdo and take it easy to make sure you are completely healed and keep a calendar and do your therapy to make sure you heal properly - we need your input on the quilting board. Please keep an eye on the board and type with one hand when we are desperately in need of your guidance.....

left hand so I made tons of scrappy squares just feeding them with my left hand. I used a method I do not know the name of, but you keep adding scraps (small pieces around 2 or 3 inches) to the right side and rotating it until it is big enough to cut a 5 inch square from. I could do this as the stitching did not have to be exact and I could trim them with scissors as I could not use my rotary cutter. When I could finally use my right arm I made a quilt from those squares

may have to try it. Thanks for the positive vibes all.

Take care and enjoy your "down" time. I will be facing hand surgery in February. Hope you heal quickly!
