Oh my goodness!! How awful to have broken your shoulder. Hope you are not in too much pain and heal quickly.
Take care -- read your favorite books and get a good rest so you can really dig into the quilting after the first of the year.

OH, NO!! Hope you have help w/ your Holiday events. My son-in-law had surgery on his shoulder about 3 wks ago. I could see the pain in his face . However he is doing quite well and I'm sure you will also. Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!!!

Sorry about your accident. It is rough when quilters are put out of commission for a while. Have you read anything by Marie Bostwick? My sewing friends have recommended a series of books she has written, I am getting ready to read them, and my only recommendation is from them. There are four books - #1 A Single Thread #2 A Thread of Truth #3 A Thread So Thin and #4 Threading The Needle. I believe they are light mysteries, built around quilting. Might be a good read for you and still get a feel for sewing. Best of luck to you.

I am glad to hear that you will heal well and soon return to quilting. Perhaps this is meant to be a reflective time and all those books on your shelves are waiting to be read (or heard if you like audio books). Time to lunch with family and friends and do some of those things you normally mean to do, but quilting gets in the way (smile). Take care of yourself and Merry Christmas to you and yours.
