What a heart warming story. I know how special it is to sew on a grandmother's machine. I inherited an old Singer 99 from my grandma. I love sewing on it knowing that her hands also touched the same machine. It makes me feel more connected to her. Bless you for passing the machine on so another generation can have that experience.

Not only is she smiling but she's gathered everybody around to "show off" the goodness in your heart. Some decisions - tho they seem difficult at the time - really do turn out for the best! So nice of your granddaughter to write what she did.

Beautiful, I would be thrilled if someday one of my granddaughter's or great granddaughter's would say/do something like that with one of my machines.

This is fabulous that your daughter is sewing especially on her heirloom which is extra special! I'm looking forward to Christmas break when my granddaughter will be here. She is planning for us to make her first quilt.
