No Regrets and my Mother is in Heaven Smiling

You must be so happy! That is really a sweet, heartwarming story. Hopefully your daughter will now carry on the sewing tradition to the next generation. I'm hoping that eventually one of my three girls will do the same. They have all dabbled at sewing a little, and two of them even tried quilting. But at this season in their lives, it got moved to the back burner. I've told them I hope to one day pass on my quilting room supplies and fabric stash to whichever of them is quilting!

I really felt bad about giving up my Mothers Elna tomy daughter. Today I found this on my grandaughters Facebook:
Learned to sew on my great grandma's sewing machine this weekend! Made Christmas gifts with my newfound skills, and only injured myself once. Big thanks to my Mom for being extra patient with me while I learned, and not passing out when she had to pull the sewing machine needle out of my finger
I no longer regret giving it up and I am sure my Mother is in Heaven Smililing

Your last sentence "my mother is in heaven smiling" HAS to be sooooooo true. She'd be thrilled her granddaughte loves the machine as much as she did. Thanks for sharing this uplifting story.

Thank you for sharing your sweet story with us. I would print out the comment and keep it in my sewing area - probably in a drawer - just somewhere that I can get a smile from it when I need it.
It is so much nicer than what I get when I look at our kids' Facebook pages! Lol
