Pam, either one would be bad. LOL But, if you're using the toilet paper roll you can say you're going green.That's almost as good as the person who said she used her dryer lint in the toilet paper roll to start campfires. Who would ever have thought toilet paper rolls could have so many uses.

I bought a plastic ribbon dispenser, on sale after Christmas one year. I carefully enlarged two slots into one and use that when I'm binding a quilt. I place the binding inside the box, feed the end through the slot, put the lid on and bind away. No more binding in the wheels of my sewing chair OR slowly choking myself.
