I used a very inexpensive (cheap!) poly batting for a charity quilt. I had no problem with seepage. I applied to the batting, smoothed my backing on (had to do this 1/2 at a time) let set up for about 30 min., turned over, more glue on other side of batting, smoothed on top and, because I could wait a day, let it dry overnight and quilted it the next day. Just make sure you use a very fine drizzle of glue and if you get a blob, smooth it out. My Sweet 16 had no problem with it. Just took it out of the dryer, and the glue is gone and the quilt is beautiful!!!
