You can match the yarn to the colors in your quilt. And it will save you some money.
crochet thread works better than yarn because for one thing it is easier to tie, washes well, doesn't get fuzzy, and comes in many beautiful colors!

Cam you stitch in the ditch?? Or simply tie it with crochet thread or embroidery floss. I am quilting a baby quilt right now and it has been a long time since I've quilted a panel quilt and I'm having trouble following the lines, partly because I had cataract surgery on both eyes and have not been able to get new glasses yet so I can't see very well right now, and partly, I think, because I have not done it for so long. I'm glad that babies are not picky and I'm just going to do the best I can and let it go at that.

I have been away from quilting awhile also. And started back this winter. I have to have bright lights by my chair to quilt. Especially on dark fabric. It takes awhile to get back into quilting again.

Don't ever feel you can't melt down with us. We have all done it. I personally feel like everyone needs a good melt down once in a while. It's cleansing like a good cry.

Why don't you just tie it?

somewhere here you said it is too small to send off to your quilter. As a quilter (who doesn't like to piece) I can say I love to do a small one once in a while that I will actually get paid for. It is refreshing, and gives me an opportunity to try out some new things that I wouldn't want to have to repeat over and over on a big one. Ask your quilter she may love to do it for you.
