nylon mesh stencils
these are new to me,has anybody worked with them? to me they would seem on the chintzy side for those that tried both the regular plastic and the nylon mesh which do you prefer? connecting threads has them on sale http://www.connectingthreads.com/too...r__D82230.html i'm thinking that the soft mesh would be hard to trace and can only use the pounce.......opinions appreciated.....thanks

The stencils that are being sold by Connecting Threads will only work with the Pounce Pads. Mesh covers the design and you can't use any marking pens or pencils with them. If you want to try the Pounce Pads then the stencils are as durable as the plastic stencils. I personally do not use the mesh stencils but I have a few friends that do use them.

If I plan to use pounce, then the stencils with mesh really work better. if I want to draw in the light, you can't do these with mesh stencils. That being said, I haven't tried the Ultra Clean Crayola markers on the mesh--that may work.

quiltingshorttimer, I have had a discussion with another board member about the mesh stencils. She did talk to Connecting Threads and asked if using a blue washout pen would work with these stencils and she was told no, that the markings would not be able to go through the mesh.
